Finally, the rays of sun we’ve been longing for!

According to an old Indian legend, during the autumn days the blood of killed bears seeps into the soil and travels through the roots into the leaves of the trees, causing them to turn red.

In the Kamptal, the hunters are spending the weekend at the Heurigen inns and the many a completely unworried wild animal discovers that grape qualities aren’t bad at all during this vintage. The great grape theft in the vineyards has started.

Now that the leaves are changing colour, the grapes are beginning to taste more interesting with every passing day.

We are continuing our harvest with great care – with the young vines of Riesling and Grüner Veltliner for our Kamptaler Terrassen wine, first experiments with Pinot gris and individual corners of Sankt Laurent.

Every beautiful day is a gain in quality, the autumn depression is gone, and now things are becoming very, very interesting!
