In its October edition, the Wine Enthusiast, the popular US wine magazine, awarded 93/100 points to Bründlmayer’s Grüner Velltiner Loiserberg 2007, declaring it Editors’ Choice with a particular recommendation by the editorial board.
Already in 2006 our Loiser Berg created a little sensation when it was chosen by the Finnish magazine Viini Lehti as one best white wine of the year, the first time such a distinction was awarded to an Austrian wine.
The grapes of the Langenlois hill close to the winery grow high on the hill on a layer of loess over gneiss primary rock. Fresh and lively wines which will develop for many years can be created here. Particularly the sunny 2000 and 2003 vintages are wonderful drinking now. |
