Red wines shine
All seven samples that had been submitted to the ÖGZ-Red Wine Guide tasting were awarded 4 or five glasses. Hence, Bründlmayer’s red wines proved to be the most successful participants within the 600 top reds of a tasting held throughout two weeks in Vienna.
The tasting panel was sourced by a strong pool of international wine experts. The ÖGZ is a weekly magazine of Austria’s official Hotels & Restaurants association. The red wine guide is a separate publication issued once a year and directed to the trade as well as to the wine lovers.
“Most of Austria’s serious reds are offered (and also drunk) too early – this might be part of the explanation why our wines were that successful”, comments a modest but happy Willi Bründlmayer.
